h Elf Männer begeben sich in dieser choreografischen Installation auf die Suche nach dem, was Mann sein könnte, immer an den Rändern dessen, was das Geschlecht markiert. «Wann ist der Mann ein Mann?» Gibt es typische Bewegungsweisen im großen Pool der Genderkonstruktionen? In dieser Bewegungsstudie können Geschlechterdifferenzen durch körperliche Eingrenzung deutlicher hervortreten. Oder auch in die Irre führen.
Nach Out of Order, einer Installation mit 40 Frauen, ist autoreverse der zweite Teil einer Trilogie zur Ästhetik der Trennung, die das Publikum mit ungewohnten Weisen der Raum- und Körperwahrnehmung konfrontiert.

h The movement study autoreverse deals with the constructions of masculinity in our society, in search of the limitations of gender. Is "manliness"/ "otherness" visible and which consequence do such distinctions have? In this project separation serves as an esthetic principle - separation as well of the male performers as of the audience - separation as a catalyst for perception through scenic division. What happens if the audience is never able to see the "whole man"? Are there moments in which so called activity mixes up with passivity, and desire with wonder?

After "out of order", an installation with 40 women, autoreverse is the second part of a trilogy about the esthetics of separation, confronting the audience with unusual modes of perceiving space and body.
